Hello
i just bought two 650’s that have had the oil injection pump disconnected. I know there has been problems with the pumps quitting and your motor being toast.
Does anyone make an pump with a automatic shutoff if the pumps quits. I have seen ones were a red light comes on so why couldn’t it shut the motor down?

thanks

It's truly not the pump that quits. It's the hoses that are the failure. 99.9% of the time, this is do to failed or no maintenance. Hoses get hard and break or shrink and pull off causing the lack of oil. A light wouldn't fix this as the pump is still working. Proper care and maintenance is the only fix. I have 5 skis dating from 93 thru 02 all running original oil pumps on there injection system. I do however replace the oil lines every 3 to 5 yrs.

but to answer your question, I know of no one making a pump of that nature.
