I just got a kawasaki 650sx for 250 dollars it is an 89 model. It runs great and has aftermarket parts like k&n flame arrestor, west coast pipe, west coast waterbox, after market ride plate not sure which one and it will be getting an aftermarket head put on it. I was curious if there was a reason I got it so cheap I mean $250 for all that is cheap so I was curious if their was like a defect on that year or I just got really lucky... What I have read their is really nothing else you can do to the motor and all the aftermarket stuff is at least a grand or a little less alone plus the ski is in great cond and runs great??? Whys that???

Are you sure?

Maybe it's because Yamaha never made an sx.:dunno:

Kawasaki makes the sx.:cheeky4:

Yamaha makes the Superjet. The had the 650 squarenose or sn for short.
Then they went to the 701 roundnose or rn.

Post up some pics and maybe us educated guys could tell you what you got.:appl:
