I own a Yamaha VX110 and just got my second recall notice. The first recall, Yamaha paid for the mechanic work and travel. The second recall, they don't pay travel. Call customer service and basically told "my tuff luck". Be aware.
I've never known them to pay travel at all on any of the recalls we've had.... not just for PWCs but their bikes either. We have all Yamaha toys and never had them pay travel on any of them. It's just part of owning one, it comes with it. And there are recalls on just about everything now, at least they let you know about them instead of you finding out the hard way.
Newest recall is only about updating the throttle cable. They say it can corode or kink especially near salt water. If you are in fresh water, just check it over and make sure it has plenty play 4-7 mm at throttle.
