looking to buy a PWC FROM 1999 TO 2000. WHO MADE THE MORE RELIABLE MACHINE Back in 1999 -2000? Pros and cons of yamaha and seadoo please.
I'm new to PWCS but am mechanically inclined. Any info would be appreciated thanks. somebody said go yamaha. more reliable than seadoo but would like confirmation of this statement. Was either of these manufacturers using direct injection yet or were they both carburated at that time?

SeaDoo was using the 720, 800, and 951 motors then. The 720 and 800s are bullet proof. The 951s can be a crap shoot. Try to get a carbed model they are more reliable and cheaper to repair.

Yamaha used the 800, 1200, and 1200 powervalve two stroke engines. All were very reliable just the 1200 power valves need to have the clips replaced to prevent failure.

What kind of machine are you specificaly looking for? A 2 seater, 3 seater or 4 seater? Powerful or entry level? So I can recommend something.
