Yamaha Diagnostic Software throttle valve question

I recently purchased a Yamaha Diagnostic software and cable kit off eBay to try out on my 2004 FX HO Cruiser.
I was checking out the engine monitor feature (without the ski running) and noticed that when I applied full throttle to the lever I was getting a "throttle valve opening" value of 79.3 and 1.2 with the lever fully released.
Is this normal? Should my WOT reading be closer to 90
Is there any advantage to be gained by tightening my throttle cable? More air, more power????
Or should I just let it be?
