Vxr pro 700 from '97?

Hi, I'm new here soo thanks in advance for any help
Few days ago I bought ski jet that apears to be a Yamaha vxr pro 700 (wrb700s) but what suprises me is a HIN wich has 97 year at the end. I couldnt find any information on the web that this model was still in production in 97. Please confirm this if It was still in production on this time or my HIN is fake? Also any help with manual, specs etc. for this would be very appreciated.
Thanks for any help.
Michael

Last year I can see for the 700 was 94, and last year of the vxr 95. This doesn't mean that it wasn't produced though, or maybe it is a state issued HIN. I would call Yamaha on this one. They can confirm the HIN and country of orgin.

Michalo,
Can you post a few pics of your ski. I have a 93 and 94 vxr pro and as Rods said I thought they were discontinued after 95. But again that doesn't mean it's a fake. I do however have a digital file of the Yamaha manual for them I can send if I can figure out how. The Clymer manual is a very good manual for them as well and actually gives more detailed info on repairs. Should be available on eBay.

Private message me your email and I'll try to send you the file in the next day or two. Vary large file so I've got to figure out how I mailed it before. But I remember using email address

Thats the beauty Ofcourse I know its partialy painted but didin't find any damage or repairs of the hull. Only thing was broken waterbox that exploded to previous owner so I repaired it with fiberglass and epoxy.

Got your message. Nice looking ski. The yellow/green seat and bump rail are the colors used on my purple 94.

If you would, post a picture of the hin. just curios about something. You need to contact Yamaha directly, not your local dealer.
