Intermediate drive shaft turning blue

purchase a new 2017 Yamaha EX I have 20 hours on it the intermediate drive shaft is turning blue right in back of the driven coupling and in front of the damper. My concern is the shaft is overheating it's hot to the touch, there are no water leaks around the shaft. I want to ask if anyone does anyone that has a 2017 or 2018 have this same condition.

Thanks

Turning blue is a definite sign of heat. At this point with the temps it takes to blue stainless your intermediate bearing is waisted and needs replacing and then be sure it gets greased
With the age of the ski it should be under warranty.

My guess would be the bearing never got greased or the bearing was bad from the start.

2017 EX intermediate drive shaft is turning blue

2017 Yamaha jet ski EX I purchase a new 2017 Yamaha EX I have 20 hours on it the intermediate drive shaft is turning blue right in back of the driven coupling and in front of the damper. My concern is the shaft is overheating it's hot to the touch, there are no water leaks around the shaft. I want to ask if anyone that has a 2017 or 2018 have this same condition.
I went to two different Yamaha dealers and they told me that normal I don't know it just doesn't look right I'm attaching two pictures the one that is a close-up is my jet ski the 2nd one I downloaded from boattest.com it looks like the one they tested is turning blue just a added note I took a look at a brand new EX and it's light brown
THIS IS A REPOST first post was in general questions

Going to tell you right now, there is a major heat issue. Turning the shaft blue is altering the integrity of the shaft, and taking chances on hurting the hull and engine, not to mention that if the seal melts your going to sink the ski. Take it to the dealer and have it fixed under warranty.

Easiest to just post one thread.
Just read the other that you've had it to the dealer.
Is it to hot that you cannot keep your hand on it ? Is it brown paint when new or just machining oil ?
