Question 2018 yamaha vx cruiser ho winterization

Looking to winterize my 2018 Yamaha VX Cruiser HO 1.8. Please advise any and all techniques to run water through it, fogging, fuel stabilizing, battery removal and storage, etc. Any suggested brands or methods is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How far you have to go with winterizing really depends on where you live. Southern states don't have to contend with the long freezing periods like Minnesota. As far as flushing, your owners manual should cover that pretty good. I use Startron as a fuel stabilizer. Just put some in a fuel tank before flushing so it will get through the system. Store it with a full tank to keep moisture at bay. Lube all pivot points with marine grease or a good silicone spray. Some people use fogging oil, but you can just put a teaspoon of marvels mystery oil, ATF, or 2 stroke oil if you have that laying around in each cyl. Marvels or atf would be my choice.

I store my machines in a garage in NJ during the winter. I use Marine Stabil in every can of gas that I have in the garage. This way, when I fill the wave runners, it is always keeping the stabilizer in the tank. I also use the fogging oil in each cylinder, however, rodsatheart is correct about the Marvels. I also remove the batteries and keep them on the battery tender in the basement all winter. Then a good coat of wax and pull the covers up to put them to bed for the winter. SUCH A SAD DAY THOUGH!!!!

Good luck!
