Have you checked all the basics-spark plugs, air filter, compression, and the famous is the oil level correct(checked when engine is hot)?
Also the speedos are not accurate and will jump around if water is choppy.

Do i only have to run the motor for a few seconds to make sure the water is removed from the unit? Also do i just need to pull the plugs and spray fogger in the plug holes and run the engine as well as pour stabil into the fuel tank. Pull the battery and charge to winterize the wave runner or am i missing something?

Add appropriate amount of stabil to the tank. You can only run the engine for 10 seconds without water. Start it and give it a couple of revs, and shut it off. may have to do this several times with 10 min rest in between. start the ski, and spray fogging oil into the air intake until the engine dies. Pull the battery and put it on a shelf out of the way. Might need to charge it for a hour or so every month. Be sure to pull the vent caps before charging.

You can try contacting Yamaha or a Yamaha dealer.
If you want, send me a pm with your HIN number, and I'll see what I can find out.

Hi Folks
I am new on the forum
I have a 2011 vx sport model, engine warning light came on with beeping about 10 min after engine started.Pisser is working, error code on dash is 01.
Checked all the typical issues (air filter, rubber exhaust pipe clamps) -no success..
I am suspecting some sensor issue but I don't know which one could be wrong?
Any suggestions?
Z
