I have a 2010 Yamaha vx deluxe
The stock battery looks to be 12 volts
20 amp hours. And between 250-300 cold cranking amps
To get a replacement could I just satisfy these specs
Or do I need to get an exact battery?

you need an ETX20 sized battery, ETX16's won't fit correctly and using anything else is simply foolish

AGM is the good choice and they will run you around $100. If possible go with a DEKA branded unit, duracell waranty and service is not as good in the US anyway

Autozone and Oriely also sell the DEKA battery under OEM label, service just as good when they are local to you

The batteries I buy allow me to use them for about a year. Sometimes the batteries can hold even more, but that depends on exactly how they use them. Buy batteries in the online store https://batterytools.net/ I'm always happy. However, sometimes it can be challenging to detect battery problems. Still, sometimes these are just minor flaws. maybe someone knows the brand of excellent and economical batteries, I would like to change the brand and battery manufacturer to find the best option for me. Perhaps someone knows the battery brand with positive reviews. I will be very grateful for a bit of help.
