Sea Doo GTS S 155 water in engine compartment

I have recently discovered quite a bit of water in the engine compartment. We did have quite a bit of rain with it uncovered. I had taken it out and thought any water on this model was supposed to self exit. Anyone have this model and have similar experience? I did just pump it out today but concerned there could be another unknown problem.

The water was several inches deep. I had taken it out before these last rains and had it up to speed that should have expelled any water. I didn't think rain water could infiltrate that easily but maybe it can. I'll take it out again tomorrow and do the same. After pumping there was still some residual water under the engine plus some under the foot panels. If you have the same machine, it is a cantilevered seat so there is an avenue for water to exit from there as well. And yup, it's is a cool ride! ?
